The Collingdale in Ilfracombe is an award winning four star Victorian guest house, beautifully situated directly on the South West coastal path, with stunning views across the harbour and magnificent cliff top scenery of Hillsborough Nature Reserve. only several minutes walk to the beautiful historically significant harbour with its excellent selection of restaurants, shops, cafes and galleries and the ferry to Lundy Island. The town centre, Landmark Theatre and famous Tunnels Beaches are also within easy walking distance. There is a cosy well-stocked bar and an elegant dining room, where your breakfast will be served. Here you can browse our excellent selection of juices, fruit, yoghurt and cereals whilst waiting for your delicious Devon breakfast to be freshly cooked to order. Or perhaps you will choose our local naturally smoked haddock or kippers. Why not enjoy your morning coffee on the sun terrace with views of the harbour Our lovely garden with its many hanging baskets and pots has won Ilfracombe In Bloom for several years running Please note that our rooms are situated over several floors, so we may not be suitable for guests with restricted mobility. Please advise at the time of booking if you would prefer a room on the lower floor and we will endeavour to meet your request. But for those of you happy to go to the top it will be worth the climb for the fantastic views! Sorry our accommodation is not suitable for children aged under eight years of age.
DIRECTIONS FROM M5Junction 27 Take A361 towards Tiverton Barnstable. SCENIC ROUTEAt South Molton you will come to a roundabout carry on straight across. After approximately 2 miles you will approach a second roundabout Turn right on A399 signposted Combe Martin Ilfracombe. After approximately 15 miles you will go through Combe Martin village. Stay on this road past Ilfracombe golf course, through Hele Bay. You will see The Olde Thatched Inn' on your left The Collingdale is situated approximately 100 metres further on right hand side. DIRECT ROUTE VIA BARNSTAPLEOn approaching Barnstaple stay on A361 and follow signs for Ilfracombe.On approaching Ilfracombe at Mullacott Cross roundabout turn right onto the A3123 and follow the signs for Harbour Long Stay car park. At the bottom of A3230 New Barnstaple Road, you will come to a set of traffic lights turn right. Immediately there is a parade of tall Victorian houses on left, The Collingdale is situated towards the end.Parking is free on-street on main road at front of property, or on the Harbour long-stay or Marine Drive car park both situated at the rear of the building, which are both free from 9pm until 10am or priced at £3 for 24 hours
